The Barn
Set in 12 acres of pastureland, with period beams carefully preserved and a lounge that looks a long way out across the village and the hills. All the mod cons, super-fast broadband, a log burner, and ample off-road parking.
Inside
The Barn sleeps six and has underfloor heating throughout. The lounge has a vaulted ceiling, extensive views, original beams and a surround-sound TV.
There are three bedrooms — one kingsize double with en-suite bathroom and a separate shower pod with power jets. The second has two single beds, which zip together into a large double on request. The third has two single beds. A separate family bathroom has a bath and its own shower pod.
Upstairs is a very large vaulted lounge and kitchen with original A-frame beams, where the big picture window frames the view across the village and hillside. The kitchen has slate worktops, a great deal of worktop space and an island. There's a separate WC on the first floor, and the cosy snug — a second television, a desk, and a door you can shut.
In the kitchen
Plastic cutlery and plates are provided for children. A travel cot, highchair and stair gates are available on request. Logs for the burner are provided free, the electric vehicle charging point is there at no extra charge, and the outdoor BBQ is purpose built.
The village of Landkey is a five minute walk away, with a pub that does very good food and has a large beer garden, plus a tea room.
